Why Membership?
You just completed one of the most thorough mental health investigations available anywhere. You’ve identified root causes. You’ve implemented personalized protocols. You’re feeling better—maybe for the first time in years.
So why continue?
Because your biology doesn’t stop changing. Stressors shift. Seasons change. Life throws curveballs that affect your gut, your hormones, your sleep, and your resilience. The people who sustain their gains long-term are the ones who stay connected to a team that knows their full story—and can catch problems before they become setbacks.
Our Ongoing Membership is designed for people who refuse to go back to “normal.” You’ve experienced what it feels like when someone actually looks under the hood. The membership ensures that level of care continues—without starting from scratch every time something shifts.
What You Get Every Month
Your membership includes one appointment per month with each member of your core team:
Dr. David Wiss, PhD, RDN, FMCP — Functional Medicine & Nutrition (50 min) Protocol optimization, supplement adjustments, nutritional fine-tuning, and monitoring of biomarkers over time. As new research emerges and your body continues to respond to interventions, Dr. Wiss keeps your protocol current and clinically sharp.
Dr. Gretchen Kubacky, PsyD — Health Psychology (50 min) Continued psychotherapy with someone who already understands your history, your biology, and the intersection of physical and mental health. Dr. Kubacky provides ongoing support for behavior change, relapse prevention, identity shifts during healing, and the psychological dimensions of living with chronic conditions.
Between Appointments:
Access to a Wider Network of Specialists
As your foundational issues resolve and you move into optimization mode, your needs may evolve in ways that benefit from specialized expertise beyond our core team. That’s why membership includes access to our expanded care network—a curated roster of vetted practitioners across a range of specialties.
If we determine that you’ve maximized the benefit of monthly sessions with one of our core providers, we can strategically swap in an alternative specialist whose skill set better matches your current goals. Think of it as upgrading your care team in real time based on where you are in your journey.
Specialties available through our network may include:
The goal is simple: you always have access to the right practitioner at the right time, coordinated through your FxMed team, so nothing falls through the cracks.
Is Membership Right for You?
The Ongoing Membership is a fit if you:
This isn’t for everyone—and it doesn’t need to be. Some complete the testing and assessment, transition to their primary care provider, and do great. But for those who want a higher level of ongoing attention to their mental health, this is the most personalized option available.
This Isn’t Your Average Follow-Up
Most healthcare works like this: you feel bad, you call someone, you wait for an appointment, you explain your whole history again, and you hope they connect the dots.
Membership flips that model.
Your team already knows you. We know your genetics, your gut, your cortisol curve, your food sensitivities, and how your body responds to interventions. When something shifts—whether it’s a new symptom, a life transition, or simply a desire to optimize further—you’re not starting from zero. You’re picking up where we left off, with a team that’s been paying attention.
What concierge-level access means in practice:
Periodic Retesting to Track Your Progress
Part of what makes functional medicine powerful is the ability to objectively measure change. Membership gives you the option to retest key biomarkers at clinically appropriate intervals—typically every 3 to 12 months.
Common retesting scenarios include:
Retesting is not included in the monthly membership fee and is ordered on a case-by-case basis based on clinical need. Your team will recommend retesting when it’s warranted—not on an arbitrary schedule.
Membership Investment
$700 per month
Includes monthly provider appointments, priority communication access, care coordination, and Superbill generation.
Retesting, additional lab work, and sessions with network specialists are available at additional cost.
Membership is month-to-month with no long-term contract.
Frequently Asked Questions About Membership
Do I have to complete the testing before joining? Yes. The membership is designed as a continuation of the deep investigative work done during the program. Without that foundation—the testing, the protocols, the team’s understanding of your unique biology—the membership wouldn’t deliver the same value.
Can I adjust which providers I see each month? Absolutely. If you and your team determine that you’d benefit more from a session with a network specialist than with one of the core providers, we can make that swap. The membership is flexible and designed to evolve with your needs.
What if I only want to see one of the providers? We can discuss modified arrangements. However, the integrated model—where all providers are coordinated—is what makes this membership uniquely effective. We generally recommend maintaining the full team, but understand that individual circumstances vary.
Is retesting included? No. Lab testing is ordered based on clinical need and billed separately. Your team will recommend retesting only when it’s clinically warranted and likely to yield actionable insights.
Can I pause my membership? Yes. Life happens. If you need to pause for a month or two, just let us know. You can resume when you’re ready.
Do you accept insurance for the membership? FxMed Mental Health operates outside of insurance networks to provide unrestricted, personalized care. We provide Superbills that you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
What if I’m doing well—do I still need the membership? That’s a great problem to have, and one we’re working toward. Some patients choose to continue because they value optimization and accountability. Others step away for a while and know they can come back if something shifts. There’s no pressure to stay longer than makes sense for you.
How is this different from just seeing individual providers on my own? Most standalone providers don’t have access to your full biological picture—your genetics, your gut health, your metabolic data. Our team works together with all of that context.
What happens if I need more support than what the membership provides? We can always add sessions or bring in additional specialists. The membership is a baseline of care—a floor, not a ceiling.
If you’ve completed the FxMed Mental Health testing and assessment and want to continue with the team that knows you best, membership is your next step.
Not sure if membership is right for you? That’s okay. Talk to Dr. Wiss about what ongoing care looks like for your specific situation.
